Try our game:  ListenUP!  [BETA]
Overview
The Innovation Company believes that listening is one of the most critical elements when creating an innovative culture.  How can a person assess or judge an idea if he or she doesn't UNDERSTAND the idea.  So many of us have taken a class in presentation skills while so few of us have ever been taught how to listen.   This is an issue.

The goal of the game
The goal of this game is to help you experience how listening takes energy and effort.

Reflection questions after you play the game
  • How does listening impact innovation and creativity?
  • There is a famous saying "seek first to understand and then seek to be understood."  How does this apply to innovation.
  • How do you feel when someone is truly listening to you? How about when a person is not listening to what you have to say?
  • One of the goals of the game is to help people appreciate how difficult it can be to truly listen.  There is a need to concentrate and focus which, in this day and age, can sometimes be an issue. What made the game difficult? What made it easy?

This is not designed to be a stand alone game...and it is NOT perfect
The Innovation Company subscribes to the Agile/rapid iteration approach to product development.   Design, release, get feedback, adjust....and repeat, repeat, repeat.  We don't have all the answers so our belief is to launch our first game - many more are coming - knowing that one of the keys to our success will be incorporating feedback from users.  Please send us your feedback by clicking here.

Why the characters Mustard and Corn?
The characters are inspired by our book, Mustard Doesn't Go On! Corn - how respect, openness, and a simple process for innovation can lead to great ideas.   Click here to learn more about the book.

When you are done please share to social media via the links in the game and get the word out that innovation is EASY!  You can also post a link to this page using the social icons above.
