Our mission and vision
Our mission is to unleash the ideas of EVERYONE to help address challenges facing schools, the work place, and communities across the globe. Our vision is a world where everyone feels SAFE to share ANY idea with ANY person at ANY time and that these ideas will be met with respect, openness, and a sincere sense of curiosity.
Why a non-profit?
This decision to be a non-profit came from inspiration via Khan Academy, an organization revolutionizing the world of education. The Founder of Khan Academy, Sal Khan, once wrote that “When I'm 80, I want to feel that I helped give access to a world-class education to billions of students around the world. Sounds a lot better than starting a business that educates some subset of the developed world that can pay $19.95/month and eventually selling it to some text book company or something. I already have a beautiful wife, a hilarious son, two Hondas and a decent house. What else does a man need?” We agree.
We work to provide the best practices, tools, and process that enable EVERYONE to feels SAFE to participate in whatever it is that they choose to do. We want the student who has all sorts of great answers and ideas swirling in his or her head but has been scared to speak up to say, "wait, I have something to add." We want workers - blue collar, white collar, no collar - to feel safe to say "what if we tried this" regardless of what "this is." Families. Community organizations. Schools. Companies. EVERYONE.
Use our apps, assessments, and online tools. They are FREE and, by law, are owned by you - the PUBLIC. That is the whole point. We don't own all of this - YOU do.
