Try our game: No Negativity! [BETA]
Overview
One of the biggest factors in creating a POP! Culture® is to blast out negativity and get rid of the red tape that prevents EVERYONE from constantly sharing and implementing new ideas. In this game you choose how well you think ideas flow through your team, group, or organization and then smash the negative nonsense that gets in the way of creating an innovative culture. The goal of the game The goal is for the user to experience how much more energy it takes to deal with negativity to get your idea put into action. The more negativity, the more difficult things are in your organization. Reflection questions after you play the game 1. How do negativity and red tape effect innovation and creativity? 2. How much more energy and effort (both physical and mental) did it take to play the game at the higher levels? How does this relate to fostering innovation is a work or school environment? 3. How does all of this negativity this relate to employees being willing to share and try to implement new ideas? Would they be more inclined to stay at a company where they can get their ideas implemented but it takes a lot of effort or leave and go to a company where they can get their ideas implemented with less effort? Sounds like a silly question, doesn't it? 4. We purposely did not have a button to stop the game on levels two or three. Did you get frustrated or want to stop? Even if you didn't in this game, has you ever been frustrated by negative responses to ideas you may have suggested? What if someone does just 'give up' and no longer shares ideas because it is too much effort? This is not designed to be a stand alone game...and it is NOT perfect The Innovation Company subscribes to the Agile/rapid iteration approach to product development. Design, release, get feedback, adjust....and repeat, repeat, repeat. We don't have all the answers so our belief is to launch our first game - many more are coming - knowing that one of the keys to our success will be incorporating feedback from users. Corn - how respect, openness, and a simple process for innovation can lead to great ideas. Click here to learn more about the book.
